Synopsis of the « New aesthetics displays » experience
Visitors are invited to flash with their smartphone each photograph located outside the exhibition venues. The experience offers a giant augmented reality display accessible from the streets with content linked to the identity of each place and allows the discovery of new aesthetic visuals.
User experience, narrative arc and the purpose of the installation
In the outdoor space, the visitor explores with his smartphone five photographs edited from the large sculpture “David” by Michelangelo, and discovers five works in augmented reality that deploy 3D contents and spatial videos. The user is immersed in the codes of post-internet culture, glitch and the new aesthetic representative of today’s digital art. Augmented reality contents are made up of elements characteristic of exhibition venues. The photographs of the face of « David » installed in large format offer a close relationship with the original work which measures 5.17 meters in height (without the pedestal)
